Description
Curious about the name of this class? Or better yet, intrigued? Well ME TOO! I was really excited about Joy’s idea to bring a primal movement class to the schedule. So what does this even mean? Think about the way a machine runs. If something isn’t running properly, the whole thing can fall apart. Our bodies are machines, so if something is off then we start to feel it with pain, injuries, or worse, it will deteriorate until we need a replacement (yup, our joints!). In this class, Joy will be taking you through proper alignment for movements that we started as babies, to make sure we are positioning our bodies to promote strength and decrease pain and deterioration of our bodies. This is functional movement and we want to strengthen our functional movement to have a sturdy machine! These poses will help strengthen your muscles that you use on a daily basis. Also, she’s going to throw in what we call “animal” poses in yoga because it’s still yoga and animals are primal, right!?
