Embracing this messy, complicated human life. 

For the first time since 2019, the sunrise meditation weeklong will be offered in person &amp; on zoom.  Meditation practice in the company of Sangha offers the support to steady &amp; deepen practice.  The weeklong may support you in beginning a daily personal practice, or to deepen an existing practice. 

Pema Chodron says this about meditation: ‘Yes, it’s a strange thing to do — just sit there and do basically nothing. Yet the simple act of stopping, says Pema Chödrön, is the best way to cultivate our good qualities. Here are five ways meditation makes us better people.’  The five qualities are steadfastness, clear seeing, courage, attention and no big deal (not being as swayed by external conditions).    During the 5 mornings of practice, we come to stillness and see what happens.  

Sessions will begin with a dharmette, 30-ish minutes of meditation, and time for inquiry at the end.  All are welcome to stay for a cup of tea and conversation past 7:45 if your schedule permits.

Registration: $55+hst + dana
Dana: In the spirit of the Buddhist tradition, the teachings are given freely. The registration fee covers only the expenses to run the classes.
