Apana - governs grounding and elimination
Samana - governs digestion and assimilation
Pran - governs receptivity and nourishment
Vyana - governs circulation and integration
Udana - governs ascension and expression

Understanding the Prana Vayu&#039;s is imperative when practicing yoga. I can&#039;t promise enlightenment, but I will say that understanding this information changes things in a BIG way.
