So we practice asana to support and shape the breath which then has a deep impact on the mind. But before we can master the breath and the mind, we must take care of the body - by making it steady and easeful through the mastery of Asana.   But how to we master asana? Not by being in some &quot;text book shape&quot; which doesn&#039;t even exist....We master it by getting in the pose, staying in the pose (for a long time) and staying calm in that place, and only then can we meditate on that which is infinite.
