I teach Seasonal Vinyasa Flow yoga classes in Motherwell and Lanarkshire area. I offer 1-2-1 classes suitable for anyone who is new to yoga or may wish to take their yoga to the next level.
Description
Seasonal Flow yoga - is an energetic creative style of yoga cultivating inner and outer strength. It combines movement with breath releasing stress, promoting energy and vitality. The energy is called "chi" in Chinese Medicine and circulates through the Meridian lines sublimating the energy in our bodies, nourishing the internal organs, whilst putting our mind and body in harmony with nature. The classes vary as we work in harmony with the current season and corresponding organs and energy channels.

The organs associated with Summer are:

Primary Organs:
Heart;
Small intestine;

Secondary:
The Triple Heater;
The Facia, Connective Tissue and Skin

The Element is Fire.

A time of year when our energy is at it’s peak and our focus is on balancing our energy. As we move into mid-Summer practice the pace of the class quickens to strengthen the cardiovascular system. A good time of year to challenge ourselves using Sun Salutations and introducing Ashtanga/Vinyasa style classes to create heat and energy in the body but it’s important to balance the energy ie not too much heat as it’s bad for the heart.
A good time of year to be sociable, meeting up with family and friends outdoors whenever possible, creating love and compassion for ourselves and others. Spending more time in nature and finding inner peace and contentment through meditation.
Outdoor Yoga is beneficial as we connect with nature;
Cleaning up our diet with clean food such as salads, fruit, eating lighter and keeping hydrated with water and healthy juices using seasonal summer fruits.

Class structure will focus on heart opening flows, sun salutations and flexibility as we work with fascia and connective tissue.

The class will finish with a long relaxation/meditation.
