Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that targets the body’s deepest tissues, including ligaments, joints, bones, and the fascia network. By holding grounding poses for longer periods, it gently applies light stress through gravity to enhance flexibility and balance energy flow. Rooted in the concept of 'Yin and Yang,' the sequences of postures are meant to stimulate the channels of the subtle body - known as meridians in Chinese medicine and as nadis in Hatha yoga. This practice encourages turning inward, calming the mind, and promoting emotional and mental clarity by aligning body, mind, and soul.

Restorative Yoga is a gentle practice focused on deep relaxation, mindfulness, and healing. Unlike other forms of yoga, its goal is not to stretch or strengthen muscles but to activate the body's natural processes for self-regulation and equilibrium. Using props to support the body in comfortable poses, Restorative Yoga promotes rest and allows the body to enter a state of deep relaxation, helping to alleviate stress, balance the nervous system, and encourage overall well-being.

Chair Yoga Plus is an all-levels fitness practice that is fun and good for you! Come on get happy while moving to great tunes and having fun with friends who enjoy yoga and dance like you do. Round this out with breathing exercises and meditation and you have the perfect mind-body practice. This class can be done both seated and standing.

Eve Fox is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. She received a Certificate of Completion in Parkinson’s Fitness from the American Parkinson Disease Association and completed her training in Fitness the Fit to Dance way. She works with seniors and families in traditionally under-resourced communities and provides education and fitness classes in association with the American Heart Association’s Healthy For Life Educational Experiences.
