Chloe Baker
My name is Chloe, I have used yoga for many years. First my practice was purely physical to improve my flexibility, strength and restore my body as I trained to dance. Then as a way to unwind after a busy working week in the corporate world. Most recently I used my practice as a way to connect with and birth my baby! It is since the birth of our first child that yoga has really come to be an essential part of my life and to some degree a way of life for me. I often use the breath work to manage my energy and emotions. I use the Asana practice to recover, stabilise and strengthen my body and to make me feel good! I love practicing outdoors particularly on the beach. I am passionate about sharing the wonders of this beautiful practice with others. My training is in Hatha yoga and I am keen to continue my studies of the energetic body. I teach mum and baby and pre natal classes in mid Northumberland too. I can’t wait to see you all and share this beautiful practice together!
Description
Restorative Yoga, sometimes known as sleep yoga is very gentle, consisting of 5-7 postures that are held from 5 – 15 minutes. Using bolsters, straps, blocks and sometimes blankets, you can expect to feel completely relaxed and get a great night’s sleep afterwards. Restorative classes are 75 minutes long, for the body to evoke the relaxation response, which is the opposite of our natural state of fight or flight mode. I burn candles and incense during the class, and keep the lights off so that everyone can feel at ease, centred and most of all relaxed.
