Chloe Baker
My name is Chloe, I have used yoga for many years. First my practice was purely physical to improve my flexibility, strength and restore my body as I trained to dance. Then as a way to unwind after a busy working week in the corporate world. Most recently I used my practice as a way to connect with and birth my baby!
It is since the birth of our first child that yoga has really come to be an essential part of my life and to some degree a way of life for me. I often use the breath work to manage my energy and emotions. I use the Asana practice to recover, stabilise and strengthen my body and to make me feel good! I love practicing outdoors particularly on the beach.
I am passionate about sharing the wonders of this beautiful practice with others. My training is in Hatha yoga and I am keen to continue my studies of the energetic body. I teach mum and baby and pre natal classes in mid Northumberland too. I can’t wait to see you all and share this beautiful practice together!
Description
To flow, is to move with intention and exploration. We move slowly and also dynamically depending on the type of practise.
The physical practise of yoga is ‘asana’, the physical pose.
In flow classes we move between the asanas using the breath.
Classes concentrate on strength, alignment, movement and breath.
Flow classes are great for people with a busy mind who need focus.
*Suitable for all levels

Christie Harley
Christie began her yoga journey as a teenager, using yoga as a way of warming up and cooling down the body before and after dancing classes and performances at school. She always loved the sun salutations as they were so fluid and opened the entire body. She carried on experimenting with Yoga postures and breathing techniques throughout university and her years at work. However, It wasn’t until 2017 that she found her true identity and took the plunge into teaching Yoga.
Yoga was a great escape from work and other things in life that she felt weren’t right. It made her feel at ease, centred and relaxed. In the summer of 2017 she left her career and travelled to Bali to train as a Yoga instructor. She taught in and around Morpeth in community halls and spaces, until opening Yoga Den, (the first Yoga studio in Morpeth) in January 2019.
In 2020 she completed her advanced teacher training in Yoga Therapy with a world renowned Yoga Therapist Antonina Ramsay. Yoga therapy looks at the needs of the individual and creates a tailored approach to Yoga.
Since qualifying in summer 2017 Christie has taught over 2000 hours of private and group Yoga classes, and continues to love teaching and creating new and exciting classes at Yoga Den.
Christie’s intention has always been to bring inclusive classes, workshops, courses and retreats to Yogis at an affordable cost, using the original philosophy of yoga as a business model. Yoga is not a luxury, it is for everyone and can be part of daily life.

ZENYOGA IS A PLACE FOR YOU TO COME AND RECONNECT WITH YOURSELF, WITH LIFE, WITH THAT WHICH IS AROUND YOU”. Zen master Diazan Jukian Skinner
Zen Yoga is centred around allowing you to find your own truth and taking you on a journey with your body and your experience as your wisest guide. Rather than creating postures, we encourage you on your individual journey, focusing on giving you the principles and techniques to become a stronger, more flexible and mindful you. We work with the seasons to encourage you to take a holistic approach to your life to equip you for a lifetime of exploring, developing and evolving, and finding how to teach your truth.
Zen Yoga is a blend of Zen practices and Yoga that blends mindfulness into yoga movement by combining physical alignment, the flow of energy in the body and awareness.

Just as it says Yin Yang is a mix of both powerful vinyasa and slow Yin yoga. Classes begin with pranayama, gentle stretching, and a flow of Yoga postures (vinyasa), the second part of class will move into Yin and holding postures for longer periods of time to increase flexibility. Great for anyone who doesn’t know which style to choose.

Description
A slow, gentle form of Yoga. Yin and Yang takes the form of feminine and masculine, yin being more gentle and yang Yoga (vinyasa) more powerful, focussing on strength. Being slower in pace, it is said Yin Yoga is more relaxing, and can calm the mind quicker. Rather than putting emphasis on the muscles, in Yin we put stress on the connective tissues in the joints which can in time increase flexibility. In flow classes we hold each posture from 30 seconds up to one minute moving into a vinyasa. In Yin yoga postures can be held for up to 7 minutes, however these postures are not balancing, and props such as bolsters and straps are used for comfort and ease. This is great for anyone wanting the calm the mind, relax and stretch out the body after being sat at a desk all day.

Description
Restorative Yoga, sometimes known as sleep yoga is very gentle, consisting of 5-7 postures that are held from 5 – 15 minutes. Using bolsters, straps, blocks and sometimes blankets, you can expect to feel completely relaxed and get a great night’s sleep afterwards. Yoga nidra is a deep guided meditation which aims to pull you away from your senses and into a yogic sleep like state. Incorporating both restorative yoga and nidra together will make you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and lighter in mind and body. A perfect way to start your weekend. This is a 90 minute practice with the use of candles and incense.

Using bolsters, straps, blocks and sometimes blankets, you can expect to feel completely relaxed and get a great night’s sleep afterwards. Restorative classes are 75 minutes long, for the body to evoke the relaxation response, which is the opposite of our natural state of fight or flight mode. I burn candles and incense during the class, and keep the lights off so that everyone can feel at ease, centred and most of all relaxed.
