Yin yoga targets deeper connective tissues in the body; lengthening, strengthening and stretching the ligaments and fascia, while inviting the muscles to relax.  Expect a slow, floor based practice utilizing props, with postures emphasizing the hips, thighs, back, neck and shoulders that are held for longer periods of time (3-10 minutes) to release deeply held tension and calm the mind for quiet introspection.
