A mat pilates class focusing on building strength and endurance through dynamic movement - lower impact options will be given. Increase your heart rate, improve cardiovascular health and energy levels!

You will build functional strength, increasing energy and endurance for everything life throws at you: from playing with the kids/grandkids to competing in club sports on the weekend!

Guided breath work and body awareness will be a part of your practice too, so that the mind and body can work together in unison.

This is an open level class with no previous pilates or mobility training required.

An open level reformer Pilates class suited for any level of fitness and experience in Pilates / reformer.

Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout that will work on strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance whilst targeting the 'power house' muscles (abs, lower back, hips and glutes). You will also fire up your deep stabiliser muscles that will stabilise your spine, pelvis and core.

The reformer machine contains a foot bar, carriage, pulleys, and five springs of varying tension that can be adjusted to suit your fitness level or needs.

Muscles that are out of balance, either because they are too weak or because they are too tight, are more prone to injury. Restoring the muscles to their proper roles within the body is one of the core advantages of regular participation in Reformer Pilates.

A mat-based Pilates class focused on movements to help stretch out the body and release tension, using both static and dynamic stretching. This is a nice gentle paced class suitable for all levels. Options will be given to make the exercises/stretches more challenging however the class is designed to release tension and calm the nervous system, so expect slow controlled movements.

Monday/Thursday classes are strength focused, Friday's stretch

BYO MAT - Pilates Props provided

An hour long Pilates class to break up your day (great for those of us who may work from home!) focus will be on building strength and increasing mobility - weights and resistance bands provided, please BYO mat

**If you cannot stay for the full hour, you may leave after 45 minutes - the cool down will be 5 minutes long with an optional extended stretch for the last 15 minutes**

Why exercise in the middle of the day?

✳️ Research suggests that we should be doing at least “40 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity exercise to balance out 10 hours of sitting still” but many of us don’t have time, with busy schedules before and after work!

✳️ Help combat the “midday slump” 😴 Our normal circadian cycle can bring on sleepiness or decreased alertness in the afternoon.. which doesn’t help productivity especially if you’re meant to be working until the late afternoon! Exercise (among other things) can most definitely raise those energy levels to get you through the rest of your day 💪🏽
