DESCRIPTION: Chakras- wheels, vortexes, places where energy converges. The 7 main chakras run up the sushumna where the Ida/ Moon and Pingala/ Sun nadis cross over. There are smaller chakras on the hands and feet as well as other places on the body. In yoga we generally focus on the 7 main ones.
We will start with an overview of the Chakra system and then start with the root chakra dedicating one class to each of the 7 major chakras. We will explore the chakras as a way to balance ourselves physically, energetically and emotionally. We will practice yoga poses, breathing techniques and short meditations focused on each chakra.
