I fell in love with yoga in my twenties whilst studying English Literature at university. At the same time, I started to attend Buddhist classes and learned how to meditate.
My love of yoga led me to complete Teacher Training with the wonderful Ian Davis of OrangeYoga. This has been a life changing experience: yoga has taught me how to breathe, has created strength and flexibility in my body and in my mind, and helped me be kinder to myself and others, on and off the mat.
I love teaching and I love learning. As well as being a yoga teacher, I also teach English at a secondary school in Coventry. One of the joys of teaching is being able to connect with people and to create a supportive space for learning and playful exploration. Inspired by Vinyasa, Somatics and Viniyoga - I train weekly with Dave Charlton of Living Yoga - I like to create classes that challenge as well as support students to be kind to themselves. Alongside mindful movement, I incorporate pranayama (breathing) practices and meditation.
I feel so grateful to be able to practise yoga and I can’t wait to share the practice of yoga with you.

Description
‘Repatterning Me’ Workshop Friday 27th March 10.00-12.30 in Jubilee Hall, Blockley.
Are you interested in getting to know your postural habits?
Do you have pain in your lower back, knees, shoulders? Your posture and movement patterns could be causing you pain and creating imbalances in your physical and emotional body.
I’ve been diving deeply into the wonderful world of somatic movement and I’d love to share what I’m studying with you.
What will you learn?
If your primary movement pattern is red light, green light or what Thomas Hanna calls trauma (which could be from an injury, holding a child on your hip or using your right arm over and over in tennis).
You’ll be given tailored somatic movement exercises for your primary movement pattern to help you begin the process of repatterning.
You’ll find out what repatterning means on and off the mat and how I believe it has the potential power to transform you physically and emotionally.
What else is unique about this workshop?
I’m only going to work with a maximum of six students at a time so I can give you as much hands on assistance and bespoke feedback as possible so you can take this experience, your learnings, insights and the movement practices back into your weekly practice and into your daily life.
I’d love as many of my regular students to take up this opportunity and invitation to discover the process of repatterning. That’s why I’ll be running these workshops monthly to give everyone the opportunity to get as much feedback as possible so that we can work together.
The normal price is £30.00 but it will be discounted to £25.00.
