The name Vajrasati is a combination of two ancient Indian words 'vajra' -thunderbolt and 'sati' -awareness so means unobstructed awareness and is reflection of Hatha and its meaning of sun/action and moon/reflections.

Through listening honestly to our body and responding accordingly we can move towards yoga. A restorative practice leaving you refreshed, revitalised, and ready for the day.

"Story & Savasana" for 5-9 year olds

Each session will be themed around a children’s story - we will learn yoga poses, play yoga games and engage in mindfulness and relaxation activities. A great way to get kids moving and away from screens but also aid with any back to school or general 2020 anxiety!

Oli is the founder of Balance Kids Yoga and teaches yoga to children aged 5-14 years old in schools, studios and 1:1s. She also works at the Brighton Montessori School and so her first hand experience of both the benefits of yoga and working with children has highlighted to her the importance of the impact that exposing young people to yoga could have.

"Story & Savasana" for 5-9 year olds

Each session will be themed around a children’s story - we will learn yoga poses, play yoga games and engage in mindfulness and relaxation activities. A great way to get kids moving and away from screens but also aid with any back to school or general 2020 anxiety!

Oli is the founder of Balance Kids Yoga and teaches yoga to children aged 5-14 years old in schools, studios and 1:1s. She also works at the Brighton Montessori School and so her first hand experience of both the benefits of yoga and working with children has highlighted to her the importance of the impact that exposing young people to yoga could have.

Learn the techniques of yoga arm balances whist strengthening your body. In this playful class we train the body for and break down poses like: Bakasana (Crow pose) and Parsva Bakasana ( Side Crow), Eka Pada Koundinyasa ( Sage Koundinya’s pose) and Ashtavakrasana ( Eight Angle Pose)

This class is designed to completely soothe the nervous system, reduce cortisol levels and gently encourage the body-mind into a deep healing state.

We completely unwind into full relaxation using yogic breathing techniques and easy restorative postures - using the support of bolsters, blankets to create support and assist release, before dropping into an iRest style Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) meditation practice.

Nidra is a guided awareness technique that induces a state of deep relaxation, healing and transformation. Perfect for challenging times, all you need to do is lay down and get cosy as you are guided into a restful state, somewhere between asleep and awake. In scientific trials Yoga Nidra has been found to:
*Improve sleep
*Decrease anxiety and experience of depression
*Alleviate stress
*Increase connection with all layers of Self
*Increase clarity and focus
*Increase experience of presence
*Help rework limiting beliefs, patterns and habits.

Kundalini Yoga is a very holistic practice which includes all elements. The foundation of Kundalini Yoga is Kriya – a completed action. A Kriya can be one movement alone or generally a set of different postures flowing in a particular sequence accompanied by breath, mantra and mudra. The Kriya builds the foundation as a preparation for meditation and Kundalini Yoga is rich in its many different mediations. Each class will always include relaxation. This is a very special time which invites the body to repose, restore and become vital.

Can't decide on sweat or Savasana? Well, now there's no need to with this Vin-Yin class. The class will begin with a gentle, warming, heart opening Yang practice allowing prana to flow within the body as we encourage strength and flexibility targeting the muscles. We will then transition into the cooling stillness of a Yin practice to help achieve a balanced state. Yin yoga emphasises on long, passive holds to help target connective tissue, joints and ligaments while helping us to relax into the deepest layers of the body.
A little bit of everything – strengthening, stretching, balancing, breathing and meditating. The goldilocks of classes, including both Yin and Yang, sugar and spice.
