DESCRIPTION: Ikebana is the Japanese contemplative art form of flower arranging. Intended to inspire aesthetic appreciation for our natural world, the practice instills discipline and delight through deep seeing and embodied presence. We will read the children's book Silence to prepare us to learn the "language of flowers" and sense the connection between nature and humanity. Finding joy in simplicity is all part of the practice!
