Mindful Yoga blends the wisdom of Alignment Yoga with qualities of mindful awareness to guide students in the discovery of renewed connection and gentle release of tension patterns. The Monday evening class will center around the exploration of embodied somatic movement exercises and deep relaxation, along with the slower elements of mindful yoga.
This gentle yet intentional exploration focuses on the experience and process within our body rather than the outward expression or end result, untangling the knots of accumulated stress and bringing us into a deeper sense of ease and wellbeing.
No experience necessary. Come give it a try! All levels of experience will benefit. Poses and techniques are taught in progressions so you can explore from a place that feels right for you.

Please bring your own yoga mat. All other props will be provided unless you wish to bring your own from home.

Hybrid Yoga incorporates a combination of chair & floor practice, along with mindful awareness, for a well-rounded, balanced practice of renewed discovery & re-patterning of compensatory habits. Students are never weight bearing on wrists or knees in this class, and we explore accessing poses more efficiently & safely through the support of a chair. Students will need to be able to move from floor to standing (& vice versa) with relative ease.

Please bring your own yoga mat. All other props will be provided unless you wish to bring your own from home.

Online registrations reserve a spot indoors at Maitri Center in case of rain or inclement weather.

Weather permitting, meet in the grassy area next to the small parking lot at Anderson Farm County Park, located at 914 Union Rd (Arthur Sholts Memorial Woods) just south of Oregon. Please bring your own:
-mat
-blanket, towel or tarp to place underneath your mat
-any supportive yoga props you would like (strap, block, etc)
-filled water bottle
-sunglasses, hat, bug spray, sunscreen, etc for outdoor comfort
