A monthly class that will take us on a journey of reflection, restoration and energetic realignment through the practice of Yin.

These classes will plant subtle seeds of inquiry that lead you to realign with your own personal values and intentions, as well as holding space to restore your energy before the new month ahead.

Yin Yoga is a functional practice that targets the bones, joints, fascia and other connective tissues to optimise their health and optimise range of motion and flexibility. Marie's approach to Yin Yoga comes hand-in-hand with thoughts for reflection and breathwork to regulate the nervous system. Marie believes that in creating an environment to support and nourish the nervous system, there is trust in the release of deep-rooted tension in the physical, emotional and energetic body. These approaches will be supported by Marie's current studies in the field of Yoga Therapy.

Yin Yoga is a floor-based practice of long-held Yin poses that use the support of props to discover the individual's own physical edge of depth. Marie's classes are sequenced to take your body through its various range of motions, in order to optimise the overall function of the joints and health of the tissues. This class is suitable for all levels. No previous yoga experience required as it moves at a slow practice with modifications to suit everyone.

Please Note: Yin yoga typically supports the physical body with the use of props. Therefore, if you are attending the yoga studio, due to current COVID-19 guidelines props will not be provided. Please bring your own selection of props to support the comfort of your practice.
Suggested props: a blanket, blocks, cushions, a bolster
It is not essential to have all props listed and if you are unable to bring props, variations will be offered to support your practice.
