I’m thrilled to announce the next series of Kundalini Yoga classes: Dopamine Boost, starting on Monday, 20th January!
This series is specially designed to enhance the natural production of dopamine, helping you break free from negative habits and addictive patterns, enhance your motivation and achieve your goals.
Dopamine, a neurotransmitter, plays a crucial role in our brain’s reward system. It’s released in response to pleasurable or rewarding stimuli, such as eating, social interactions, or achieving goals. However, it’s also released by excessive use of smartphones, social media, substances, and other behaviors, which can eventually become addictive.
Over time, the brain becomes accustomed to relying on external stimuli for dopamine, reducing its natural dopamine receptors. This adaptation results in the need for more of the same behavior to achieve the previous level of satisfaction.
This leads not only to tolerance and cravings but also lack of motivation to pursue your goals or even depression eventually
To break this cycle, it’s essential to reset the brain’s reward system. Simply stopping the behavior isn’t enough—boosting internal dopamine production is key to overcoming cravings and restoring motivation and balance.
The online classes are on Mondays from 7pm to 8:30pm. A recording of each session is available the day after until one week after the course ends.
We start next Monday 20th of June, sothat you can catch up at your convenience or practise again for the most eager :-)
