Growing up dance and gymnastics were my outlet for physical expression, so naturally in my late 20s when I needed support and community I turned to yoga. The whole yogic philosophy and lifestyle was what drew me to get my certification, without even having intention on teaching. During my practicum my desire to teach and share grew. I love intertwining all 8 branches and their wisdom into my classes. I began teaching in January 2019, and thought my passion was going to be teaching the style I loved to practice, power vinyasa. I quickly realized, however, that I find joy and passion teaching beginners. I like helping others connect the breath and the movement together and build and strengthen their body awareness. As I said about it being a lifestyle, I have taken my practice all over, including the beach and my favorite paddleboard yoga and being on the water. I have also slowed down, and find enjoyment in feeling into the body, fully embodying. I now infuse my classes with somatic movement and breath work, helping build a stronger union with the mind, body, and spirit.
Description
This is a vinyasa (flow) based class. The main focus is the connection with breath and movement, while utilizing fun transitions to help get out of your head and deeper into your body.

Description
This will be a 75 min class. We will be lying down primarily for most of the class, surrendering to gravity, and moving with our breath to regulate the nervous system. Then there will be a longer shavasana where I will be playing the gong and sound bowls. Great way to unwind and relax.
