300 Hr Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, and Thai Yoga Bodywork Practitioner Angie has been teaching yoga for 10 years and enjoys teaching many different forms of yoga. Angie believes that yoga is a form of therapy, and she brings forth that energy in her classes. She teaches mindfulness and present moment awareness, creating freedom from mental chatter. She is a Yoga Therapist and specializes in Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Angie is a Reiki master teacher who uses Reiki in some of her classes as a form of relaxation for her students. She also enjoys using sound vibrational tools such as the gong and multiple singing bowls as a means of providing relaxation and release during savasana. Angie works with kids and the elderly, and teaches at multiple locations in downtown Hamilton. Her philosophy is to meet people where they are at and to make yoga accessible for anyone!
Making the first steps to start your yoga journey can be intimidating. Starting with ease and learning the basics, can set us up for success! In this class, you will learn a gentle Yoga Flow with many cues for alignment and variations for each pose. We will learn how to listen to our own bodies for safety, and to find what works best for us. Yoga creates peace in the mind, connection in the heart, and strength in the body. Leaving us ready for more!
