DESCRIPTION: Though yoga has many physical benefits and can be a lifelong practice of self-discovery, beginning or re-starting a yoga practice may be intimidating to some people for a variety of reasons. Join us at One Soul in a space of self-acceptance and non-judgment for a back-to-the-basics introduction to yoga from 6:00-7:30 pm to learn why we practice yoga and to become familiar with fundamental yoga poses found in most yoga classes. 

We will move through poses at a slower pace, focus on form, and learn techniques in order to be fully present on the mat and to remain consistent in a regular yoga practice. Whether you are new to yoga or wish to pick your practice back up, this workshop is suitable for ALL body types and fitness levels. One Soul Yoga always welcomes everybody and EVERY BODY.

This class is perfect for those new to yoga or looking to build a strong and confident foundation in a supportive and welcoming environment.  No prior experience is necessary—just come as you are! Don’t have a mat? We have one for you to borrow.

At One Soul, we believe yoga is for everybody and you do not have to be “bendy” or “stretchy” to practice. Our studio and instructors are from a trauma-informed lineage, which means we lead classes that nurture and challenge you in a safe and non-judgmental way. Variations of poses are given in each class to make our classes accessible regardless if you are new to yoga or more experienced.  Our yoga studio is intentionally free of mirrors, encouraging you to focus on how your practice feels rather than how it appears. Your mat is your personal sanctuary, a space to connect with yourself and your journey.
