DESCRIPTION: Restorative Yoga is a form of active rest in which the mind, body, and spirit are given the time and space to renew, recharge, and restore. It is a practice unlike traditional yoga classes in that it centers on slowing down, centering, and opening through passive stretching. We practice stillness and very gentle movement for extended periods of time throughout the practice, focusing on fully supported poses that are each held for 5-7 minutes. At the end of class, we will practice a short Yoga Nidra, a form of yogic sleep, in order to gain the most benefit from savasana and feel rested and refreshed to close out the weekend and prepare for the work week ahead. Taught by rotating One Soul Instructors.
