DESCRIPTION: Restorative Yoga is a form of active rest in which the mind, body, and spirit are given the time and space to renew, recharge, and restore. It is a practice unlike traditional yoga classes in that it centers on slowing down, centering, and opening through long-held passive stretching. We practice stillness and very gentle movement for extended periods of time throughout the practice, focusing on fully supported poses that are each held for 5-7 minutes. At the end of class, we will practice Yoga Nidra, a form of yogic sleep, in order to gain the most benefit.
