A few years ago Kathy was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and dealing with its crippling effects.  Today she is the fittest  she has ever been thanks to her commitment to earning her yoga teacher training and her ensuing practice.    Kathy uses her own experiences along with her qualifications to help people get and keep moving. Since she’s in her 60s she is comfortable helping the “wiser” folks make healthy lifestyle changes. Katthy was raised within the Patapsco State Park and hikes the trails regularly.  She earned her BA in biological sciences and then her MA in education from UMBC.  After a successful stint at the race track (she was an owner, trainer, driver for harness horses) she returned from New York and was a public school teacher for over 20 years.  Kathy raised her two children on her small horse farm in Elkridge. When not teaching yoga or hiking, Kathy volunteers as a trained crisis textline counselor.
