We will pick this class back up in the fall! This class is the perfect addition to your wellness plan. This supportive and nurturing kind of yoga helps us to get out of our frenetic day-to-day life within our sympathetic nervous system of "fight or flight" and brings us back into our in parasympathetic nervous system in charge of our "rest and restore" functions. Restorative Yoga is a yoga style that uses props to fully support you within each low to the ground pose. We will be breathing and releasing into 6 poses for 5 mins each in this class. Through the aid of the props supporting you and breath-work, Restorative Yoga can offer you a deeper release within your body as well as your mind because you are not holding anything. You may be surprised just how much stretching and nurturing happens when you are fully supported and able to relax deeper into each of these poses. Each person will receive 5 mins of Reiki during the class. We will end with an integrative Savasana. What to bring : ❤️ Extra Blanket or throw blanket to fold up and cover your mat for extra cushioning!!! ❤️ Water bottle. Hydration is important! ❤️ Yoga mat, blocks, bolster and strap if you have them! All yoga props including extra thick yoga mats are available to borrow at the studio, but please bring an extra blanket to lay underneath you!
