This course will help you develop awareness and connect with your body while healing from trauma. Yoga and mindfulness practices have been proven to be effective modalities on this journey. Spira is a trauma survivor, art and yoga teacher and has been using yoga, mindfulness, art, and other somatic modalities in her own personal healing and is excited to share this practice with you. It's VERY gentle and easily accessible. You can practice on your mat, on a chair, or even standing. You don't have to be flexible or look a certain way. This is not a workout or fitness program. We are simply connecting with our bodies, calming the nervous system, increasing proprioception and interoception, and building resilience and self-acceptance.

Easy gentle hatha, mostly on the mat and just a few standing poses (if any). Release stress and tension while improving balance and focus. Have your props ready: mat, strap, blocks, and blanket. Please login 5 minutes before class time.

Put the kids to bed and take some time for yourself. Unwind, stretch, rest, and restore. And do it all again tomorrow. Make sure you have all your props ready BEFORE class starts. I'm including a link on how to make props at home.

This is a hybrid class, the online version. If you want to attend in person, you must sign up for that separately. You will receive a zoom link about 20 minutes before class starts. Please have all of your props ready and accessible. You will need a mat, 2 blocks, a bolster (or homemade one), a strap, and a blanket or two. PLEASE log in at least 5 minutes before class starts. You may not be let in right away if you're late as I'll be busy teaching.
