Description
This is a yoga workshop for individuals who have never done yoga, who are newer to yoga and would like a good foundation in "the basics" of practicing yoga, and those who think they are not flexible/athletic/coordinated/etc enough to practice yoga. This workshop will provide an improved understanding about the benefits of yoga in addition to learning appropriate body placement for basic yoga poses and sequences. You will also learn “the basics” of yoga to feel more comfortable practicing and attending yoga classes.

This workshop is led and designed by Dale Kaufman who is a Registered Yoga Teacher with over five years of teaching experience and over 20 years of yoga practice herself. As a retired middle school social worker, former marathon runner, and professional musician she has found the practice of yoga and meditation vital to living each day more mindfully and intentionally.

You will:

gain a foundational level of understanding about the practice of yoga
gain an understanding of the benefits of practicing yoga in your daily life
learn actionable strategies to gain more confidence in practicing yoga as well as personalized feedback to engage in proper and safe practice of basic yoga poses
“Demystify” the practice of yoga
