Prenatal Yoga is the perfect practice for mamas at every stage of pregnancy, from the first trimester to 40 weeks (and beyond!). Each class includes 50-60 minutes of prenatal yoga + discussion and information to support your pregnancy and birth journey. The practice places an emphasis on breath as a tool for pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and is both invigorating and gentle. Poses incorporated are intentionally chosen to create a strong, relaxed, and supportive body in pregnancy and to prepare the body and mind for birth.

This event meets 8-9pm at The Motherhood Collective Studio. It is free for prenatal yoga students (and their partners) and $5 for community members not attending prenatal yoga.
Prenatal Yoga meets 7-8pm in the studio prior to this event.

About Emily Sturomski:
Emily attended UW - La Crosse for Exercise and Sports Science Fitness. She has been a fitness professional for over ten years at various places before joining Dynamic Performance & Therapy in 2018. After having two children of her own, she completed a Prenatal and Postpartum training. In doing so, she can share her love of movement with individuals who are pregnant, have recently had children, or are years postpartum safely and effectively start, maintain, or get back to activity. She enjoys rediscovering fitness and movement in a new way since having children and can't wait to help other women discover what that looks like for them!

Whether you had a baby 4 weeks or 4 years ago, the postpartum period is a sacred time. Postpartum Yoga honors and celebrates the differences in your body and the incredible work it has done continues to do. Postpartum Yoga classes focus on honoring the birth and pregnancy journey, in addition to healing key areas of the body that undergo a lot during pregnancy and birth (core, pelvic floor, hips, & glutes and back, neck & shoulders). These classes also focus on supporting and healing collectively from the demands of birth and parenthood.

Motherhood United: Support Group is a safe haven to nurture new moms as they enter the magical, mysterious and often challenging time of motherhood. Together we will consciously celebrate the transitions new moms face while learning and sharing within a community. Our group is a space for parents identifying as mothers where you can share your experiences and concerns, ask questions, and form community with other moms. Prenatal/ postpartum yoga teacher Emily Sustar along with occasional guest’s, including perinatal mental health therapists, and other professionals who support parents facilitate each group focusing on the profound transition into motherhood. Sharing this space with other parents promotes your well-being and supports your relationship with your baby during this sweet and at times stressful time of bonding and development. Bring your questions, your stories, and your baby (newborns up to crawling babies).
