Prenatal Yoga is the perfect practice for mamas at every stage of pregnancy, from the first trimester to 40 weeks (and beyond!). Each class includes 50-60 minutes of prenatal yoga + discussion and information to support your pregnancy and birth journey. The practice places an emphasis on breath as a tool for pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and is both invigorating and gentle. Poses incorporated are intentionally chosen to create a strong, relaxed, and supportive body in pregnancy and to prepare the body and mind for birth.

Mama Flow is an intentional flow based class specifically with the needs of pregnant, postpartum, and bodies that care for children in mind! This class is a hybrid between prenatal and postpartum yoga classes and is intended for anyone anyone who identifies as a mama or caregiver. This includes those who are trying to conceive, are currently pregnant, are recently postpartum, or those whose babies are grown!
Breath is the foundation of this practice partnered with mindful movement to stretch, strengthen and support your body and mind. Join a mama flow class for connection to yourself and your community of support.

About the Course: This course is Little Bird's own take on the basics. Erin pulls from her experience as a labor and delivery nurse and hospital-based lactation consultant to share with you the things that REALLY matter when it comes to being successful with breast/chestfeeding. It's everything you need to know as you begin and the tips that will be most helpful along the way!
This course covers topics like: Colostrum vs. mature milk, How your body makes milk, How to protect that milk supply, Infant instincts and development, What to expect from your body, How to determine if baby is getting enough milk, How to know if your baby is Hungry, The all-important latch, Feeding positions, Expressing Milk, Milk Storage, Red Flags and Trouble-shooting for common issues. This class is ideal to take while pregnant, but postpartum parents are welcome to attend as well. We encourage partners to attend as well!

About the Instructor- Erin Edwards (she/hers) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Birth Doula, Certified Massage Therapist and Licensed Practical Nurse. She is a founding member of Woven Doula Collective and creator of Little Bird Lactation. She is passionate about inclusive care, equal access to education and resources, community-building, and of course... all things birth and baby related!
Erin spent the last 5 years as a Labor and Delivery/Postpartum nurse and lactation consultant and knows all too well the challenges that can accompany learning to breast/chestfeed. She's sharing her insider secrets and experience with the next generation of new parents in hopes of easing the transition, and creating an empowered, educated community.
Erin is the lucky mom of 3 kids who taught her lots about breastfeeding, through trial and error! She wishes she would've had access to a lactation consultant 13 years ago but is grateful to have figured it out and share all she has learned!

Baby + Me yoga classes are sessions of healing and supportive yoga aimed to provide time for bonding with baby, intentional movement and breath to heal the body postpartum, and a chance to connect with other caregivers and babies. Movements and poses in this offering are intentionally chosen to support healing and building strength for postpartum mamas in key areas that undergo a lot during pregnancy and birth (hello - deep core, pelvic floor, glutes, hips, and upper back / neck!). Baby + Me yoga celebrates the differences in your body and the incredible work it has done continues to do.
This class is most appropriate for babies who are 0- 12 months (or are not fully mobile yet).

This class includes connection, & community through sharing information and discussion + a 50-60 minute baby and me yoga class.

Drop your child ages 1-8 years old at the play spot while you attend yoga classes or the Motherhood United Support Group alone or with your baby. This child watch program is on-site & facilitated by our fabulous interns, offering games, art activities, and play, while you move & breathe. This service is free for those attending yoga classes and $10 for those attending the Motherhood United Support Group. Please include your child's name and age when you register.
