Whether you are 6 weeks or even 5+ years postpartum, this 4-week small group series will focus on education and movement to empower you to be a STRONG mama. Each week will focus on a different educational topic (i.e. diastasis, pelvic floor, feeding posture, etc) and our yoga + strength practices will support and complement each other. We will give you tools for better movement & breath mechanics, nervous system regulation, rehabbing the body post birth, plus strength building movements. We will start with functional breath and foundational movements and progress each week to meet you where you are at. Postpartum Yoga with Emily meets Mondays at 12pm and Postpartum Strength with Chelsea meets Wednesdays at 12pm. You are welcome to bring your baby with you, or take this time without baby just for you and your healing.

Each class includes 50-60 minutes of prenatal yoga + discussion and information to support your pregnancy and birth journey. The practice places an emphasis on breath as a tool for pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and is both invigorating and gentle. Poses incorporated are intentionally chosen to create a strong, relaxed, and supportive body in pregnancy and to prepare the body and mind for birth.

Join Emily Sustar, RPYT, RYT 500, & Birthing From Within mentor, Erin Edwards, LPN, IBCLC, former long time doula, & L & D nurse, & Corrine Jandrt, RPYT, RYT 200, doula, & holistic childbirth educator, for a comprehensive childbirth preparation course designed to empower both the birthing person and their partner. This course will cover the basics of birth; what happens in labor + delivery & postpartum, coping techniques, movement, breath, and strategies to add to your toolbox for the birth journey, mental and physical preparation for the parenthood transition, the 4th trimester, and breastfeeding / chestfeeding preparation + support.

Week 1- Empowered Pregnancy = Empowered Birth
(scaling expectations, labor theater, pain vs suffering, mindset work, mantras, breath, movement for pregnancy, birth plan, + intentions, coping tools) - Emily & Corrine

Week 2- Basics of Birth + Movement for Labor (basic anatomy, overview of phases / stages of labor & birth, putting it all together & putting it into practice) - Emily & Corrine

Week 3- Immediate Postpartum + 4th trimester (newborn cares, mama repairs, PMADS, boundaries for help postpartum, setting up postpartum support game plan) - Erin

Week 4- Breastfeeding Basics (initiating breastfeeding, the golden hour(s), the first 2 weeks, bottles, pumping basics) - Erin

Please join Corrine Jandrt for a special class to support those experiencing infertility. Yoga for Fertility is a class for those who are experiencing infertility. This class will provide a brave space to connect with others that are facing similar challenges. It will also give students a place to work on self-compassion and reconnect back to their physical body. The session will offer a sharing circle, yoga flow, and meditation.

Baby + Me yoga classes are sessions of healing and supportive yoga aimed to provide time for bonding with baby, intentional movement and breath to heal the body postpartum, and a chance to connect with other caregivers and babies. Movements and poses in this offering are intentionally chosen to support healing and building strength for postpartum mamas in key areas that undergo a lot during pregnancy and birth (hello - deep core, pelvic floor, glutes, hips, and upper back / neck!). Baby + Me yoga celebrates the differences in your body and the incredible work it has done continues to do.
This class is most appropriate for babies who are 0- 12 months (or are not fully mobile yet).

The Support Group at The Motherhood Collective is a safe haven to nurture new and expectant moms as they enter the magical, mysterious and often challenging time of motherhood. Together we will consciously celebrate the transitions moms face while learning and sharing within a community. This group is a safe and welcoming space for parents identifying as mothers (we welcome all gender identities, biological, and adoptive moms) to share your experiences, concerns, ask questions, and form community with other moms. Sharing this space with other parents promotes your well-being and supports your relationship with your baby during this sweet and at times stressful time of bonding and development. Bring your questions, your stories, and your baby.

This group is facilitated by Emily Sustar, RPYT, RYT 500, Birthing from Within mentor, and founder/ owner at teacher at The Motherhood Collective and Erin Edwards, IBCLC, doula, L & D nurse and owner / founder at Little Bird Lactation along with special guest presenters at least once a month.
