This is an introductory workshop for Teachers, Practitioners and Mum’s to deepen their understanding of the benefits of yoga during pregnancy.

In this workshop you will learn:

How to assist someone who wishes to practice in an open yoga class.
How to use props effectively
Suitable modifications to common asana’s so they are more accessible to prenatal students
How to teach postnatal students with an awareness of anatomical changes in a woman body after birth

This is an opportunity to share, gain insight into the world of Pre and Postnatal Yoga and beyond.

In the traditions of Sri Vidya (the Tantric Hatha Yoga Lineage that we follow at The Practice), it is believed that is in the heart where our individual self (Soul) and the Universal Self (Collective, Source, God) they meet.
So, the reason why we practice backbend postures, is not just to back bend and "create a shape" - we do backbend to open the area around the chest, clearing the energetic channels and also sending more prana/ energy to that location. The result is that we can meditate in our Spiritual Heart and remember the most joyful and content aspect of our existence :) This class is great of you are feeling a little down with lack of motivation and inspiration. Join me in this sweet and sunny backbend class.

Yogis! This is your WEEKLY opportunity to evolve your understanding of the philosophical side of the Tradition. In this lecture we will continue our conversation around HOW to practice most effectively. In the last session we looked at the progression through Asana, Pranayama, Kumbhaka, Bandha, Mudra, Kriya and ultimately to the culmination of practice in Mantra Japa. Can our practices really make us more mindful and present human beings? If we use methods and techniques that address our minds and nervous system, yes, practice can be incredibly medicinal and rewarding in bringing us into a state of harmony and balance.

This class will focus on bringing presence into every breath, asana, thought, action and observing yourself throughout the process. Watching how the mind wanders, gets distracted or dispersed is part of the journey toward becoming more mindful. The more we practice this on the mat, the more we are able to notice our distracted tendencies off the mat.
