DESCRIPTION: Men’s yoga is a practice for the mind and body. The class is centred around building mobility, releasing tension of the mind and body, as well as working on balance and muscle tone.
We’ll target the common areas of tension in the male body – such as shoulders, back, hip flexors, hamstrings and calves.
I use a blend of yoga and my training as an FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) Specialist. Relaxation techniques are also incorporated which you can use in your everyday life.
Two common reasons that men benefit from yoga
1. Men who feel stiff. This could be due to occupation, age, posture, or lack of exercise. This may be stiffness but can also result in discomfort and even pain in day-to-day life.

2. Sports players looking to decrease chance of injury and improve their mobility for sports performance. Practising a specific sport often leads to imbalances in the body. My training in FRC allows me to provide specific advice for your particular mobility goals.
Yoga is effective in providing improvement for both camps!

Despite what we see here in Ireland, yoga was created and practised traditionally by men. Having a men’s class just gets rid of the potential barrier of being the only man in a yoga class, which may feel daunting! Also, this class style focuses specifically on the male body.

Why practice yoga?
~ Build mobility (flexibility + strength in the new range of motion)
~ Reduce stiffness in the body
~ Decrease chance of injury
~ Relieve stress and improve stress tolerance
