Annabel Kramer
Annabel Kramer (they/them) Annabel was drawn to a consistent yoga practice as an antidote to a full time corporate job, providing a way to reconnect with their breath and body after a long day sat at a desk. They are inspired by how the many different styles of yoga offer challenge and peacefulness in their own way. After many years of practice with a variety of teachers, they completed their first teacher training at East Side Yoga in 2022. Their teaching aims to inspire students to move intuitively and intentionally, listening to what their minds and bodies need in that moment; that includes providing options for students to adjust the intensity of a pose themselves, time and space to explore how different variations feel, and permission to use movement or stillness at any point in a class. Annabel is a strong believer in the benefits of movement, breath, and rest for every mind and body, and hopes to create space in their classes for as many people as possible to experience these.

Description

In this class, we begin by grounding ourselves with breathing exercises (pranayama) and slow movement before guiding our bodies into seated and lying poses, supported by plenty of blankets, bolsters, and blocks. These poses are held for minutes at a time to encourage conscious deep rest for your body and mind. Suitable for all levels of experience, this class aims to provide a time for intentional rest in preparation for the week ahead.
