DESCRIPTION: Yin yoga is a more passive style of yoga, concerned less with the energetics of a flow practice, and more with reaching the deeper tissue of the body. By holding a pose anywhere between 2 to 5 minutes while retiring the superficial (external) muscle group of the body, we allow time for the body to slowly open, and gently pull the muscle from the bone, stretching out tendons, fascia and ligaments.

This is an ALL-LEVEL’s class, offering space to dial into your body’s unique language and yolk (yoga) together breath with the needs of your body along with your conscious energy in a 75 minute meditative experience. We use props (including the wall) to support and promote longer holds, and gentle meditative music to bring an overall relaxation to practice. 

This is a slow and patient practice, that brings to light the needs of your body, your current energy levels and has nothing to do with your abilities. It proves to help release stored emotion, stagnant chi through applying pressure in the asana, which shifts the chi (energy) to the vital organs revitalising and oxygenating the blood, and restoring vibrancy to the somatic system.
