Tina Boby
Tina completed her Teacher Training in 2016. Thereafter, she continued upgrading her skills and has since been certified in Advanced Hatha Yoga, Sound Healing, Yoga Therapy for Back and Neck, Kids Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. Despite spending the past 6 years teaching, she thinks knowledge is never enough. Tina strongly believes in having a student mindset and is now a student of the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavat Gita and Sanskrit.
Yoga came into her life only in adulthood, as part of a spiritual seeking to help deal with life’s challenges and it has since transformed her life. She seeks to impart the true essence of yoga in all her classes. In her style of teaching, she believes it is important for students to feel comfortable in their practice while still pushing their boundaries of what they think they can do. With her gentle guidance, she encourages her students to listen to their own body and breath and make the practice their own.
She believes that what sets an advanced practitioner apart from a beginner is less about the poses they can do, but more about the feeling and awareness brought about while in the pose. Asana is only one of the 8 limbs of Yoga. Hence, Tina’s approach is always a more holistic one that includes the other mostly forgotten limbs of yoga as well.
Description
This class is suitable for all levels of practitioners. The class aims to build heat in the body through dynamic warm up and sun salutations. Each class will have a combination of core drills, forward bends, backbends, twists, balancing asanas as well as some fun inversions and arm balances. After a relaxing savasana to the sound of the singing bowl, we conclude with pranayama or breathing exercises that calms the mind and takes you to a few minutes of deep silence.

Get ready for a full body sweat.
This is an Ashtanga led class. Ashtanga (Vinyasa) Yoga is a dynamic and challenging practice created by K. Pattabhi Jois. The practice is flow-based in which breath and movement are synchronised. It is great for building core strength, increasing flexibility, burning calories, toning the body and increasing mental focus. Due to the continuous nature of this class, there is little or no time for detailed explanation, so understanding of basic poses is recommended.
Most of the postures in the primary series are covered during the sessions, some postures may be skipped due to time constraints. We recommend some yoga or Vinyasa experience to enjoy this class, but we welcome students who are new to Ashtanga to join the challenge on our mats.

Stephanie Ng
When Stephanie first started doing yoga, she saw it as just another form of exercise for her to lose weight and chose to start with the Ashtanga Vinyasa classes, which were intense and pumped up the cardio. Yoga soon became her passion and the yoga philosophy became her way of life, teaching her to overcome the challenges life brings.
She decided to pursue her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, thereafter the 100-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and continuously upgrades herself in various yoga-related workshops. She practises three to six days a week for the past five years and progressed from a total beginner to a passionate yoga teacher who yearns to share the benefits of yoga with others.
Stephanie offers practices that focus on leading movements with the breath and engaging muscles to reduce risks of injury. Through her yoga journey, she believes that there are no boundaries on the mat and anyone can do yoga, regardless of body type, age or gender. With appropriate modifications and consistency in practice, anyone can enjoy the benefits yoga brings to our minds, bodies and souls.
Description
Our hips, shoulders and back are one of the tightest areas in our bodies due to our modern lifestyle and long hours of desk-bound jobs. Activities like running, spinning and football make the hip tightness worse.
In this class, different stretches and props are used to release the tension in the hips, shoulders and back. There will both dynamic movements and also some static stretches held longer to release tension. Some aspects and benefits of proper breathing and correct muscle engagement are also introduced. Feel soothed after the session after a whole body stretch.
This is a multi-levelled session as different variations of poses are given and props may be used. Beginners need not push deep into the stretches while regular practitioners can choose to push deep into the stretches to enhance hip opening and shoulder opening. Stretching to improve flexibility will also enhance your performance in advanced yoga poses and other sports.

Description
Develop strength, endurance, flexibility and balance as you twist and flow through Unika’s uniquely curated sequence of postures, linking breath and movement, working on almost all of the muscles in the body. Suitable for all levels as options are given during the flow. Some experience in yoga is recommended to enjoy this flow class more.
Note that this is a relatively milder flow, working on almost all the muscles groups, however, do not expect a typical Vinyasa class.

Description
Mindfulness or mind training practices, enable us to stay strong and positive in how we face the challenges of life. Through training our minds, we can transform any negative circumstance into an opportunity to develop love, compassion and understanding.
These powerful remedies, which include both skillful means and wisdom are employed to subjugate the self-clinging, based on a false conception of self, that is at the root of all suffering. The wisdom methods, such as meditative analysis, lead to the realisation of selflessness, while the skilful means focus on the development of great compassion, through the meditative practices of equalising ourselves and others, exchanging ourselves and others.

Description
Apart from being able to perform backbending postures in a safe and proper way, practising backbends brings about health benefits. Backbends stretch and expand the chest, therefore induce deeper breathing and increase oxygen levels in the blood, leading to higher metabolism rate. Backbends also create strength in all of the muscles of the back to improve postures.
In this class, you will learn drills to open your shoulders and hips, strengthen the muscles required to support and stabilise your back bends, and learn to use props correctly to reach backbend postures when required. Great class to target deepening your back bending postures. Preferably to have some experience in yoga so that you will enjoy this class more.
There will be some back bending postures which can be intense for beginners in yoga who are not flexible, however, you may use props like the wheel and strap to help you into deep stretch. In the long term, you will be able to improve flexibility in your shoulders, hips and spine.

Description

Note that in the class, poses are held for longer periods in order for the tension to be slowly released. Some aspects and benefits of proper breathing is also introduced. Feel soothed after the session as the soreness from muscles tightness is reduced.

Description
Our hip is one of the tightest areas in our bodies. When hips are tight or causing misalignment, it can have a big effect on our back, knees and even feet. Engage in proper and effective warm up drills to improve the range of motion and circulation in the hips and shoulders. Indulge in deep hip stretches and practices in strengthening your glutes before attempting back bending postures.
Great class targeting to improve your splits and back bends. Preferably to have some experience in yoga so that you will enjoy this class more. Beginners and those who lack flexibility may find the class too intense.
There will be some back bending postures which can be intense for beginners in yoga who are not flexible, however, you may use props like the wheel and strap to help you into deep stretch. In the long term, you will be able to improve flexibility in your hips and spine.
Class is not suitable for those who have spinal condition such as degenerative spinal disc, sciatica and slipped disc.

Priscilla is a dedicated & passionate yoga teacher who leads classes with enthusiasm and delivers fun vibes. Being a caregiver to her father with dementia, Priscilla first started Yoga to relax and destress, and through yoga, she realised that Yoga can be thoughtfully arranged to nurture the needs of caregivers and prevent burnout.
She decided to pursue her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, thereafter the 100-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training. She hopes to inspire beginner practitioners to embrace themselves through the practice of yoga and mindfulness, help caregivers and those going through challenges in their lives to prevent a burnout, and also bring happiness to the senior generations by letting them be active through Yoga.
With these vital goals in mind, she has designed a yoga practice and paired the poses with positive statements of affirmation to help align movements and thoughts simultaneously. This synchronicity will also help to soften and harmonise one’s breath. It helps redirect one’s negative mood and thinking in more positive directions.
