Honouring Transitions - The Space In Between

2025, the year of the Snake, is already proving to be one of deep shifts, shedding, and renewal.

Whether you’re moving house, changing jobs, becoming a mother, caring for aging parents, stepping into a new phase of life, or simply attuning to more subtle changes—like the slow transition from mid summer to autumn.

Transitions are everywhere.

Big or small, lately I’ve been enjoying and exploring this in-between time… the pause between breaths, the quiet moment between activities, the subtle transitions that shape our days. These in-between spaces can be sacred, tiny thresholds that invite us to pause, witness, and breathe before we step into what’s next.

In our recent yoga practices, this has been our shared intention ‘to honour the moments in between.’ The way we transition in and out of poses mirrors the way we move through life. Sometimes it feels clunky and awkward, just like big life transitions can be. Other times, it flows with ease.

What I’ve realised is this: it’s not about perfection, but about how we perceive and meet these moments. Can we greet them with tenderness and compassion, whether they arrive with grace or growing pains?

Instead of wishing it away or numbing ourselves to discomfort, what if we softened into it? What if we allowed ourselves to feel the fullness of it all?
