DESCRIPTION: The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir named this style of yoga “The Rocket” because “it gets you there faster.” Rocket Yoga is a moderately paced flow that combines traditional Ashtanga yoga with elements of creative vinyasa flow. The Rocket I sequence is called “leg day” as it focuses on the lower half of the body, building strength, flexibility, and balance to the legs and hips. This series begins with the familiar Sun Salutations A and B to warm up, followed by standing postures, seated postures, and backbends. Funky transitions and options for arm balances and handstand play keep the practice lively and challenging. Whether you’re building physical strength, mastering your mind, or exploring new postures, this class will push your limits and leave you feeling mentally and physically stronger. All levels are welcome.
