Emilie Garrould
Hi I'm Emilie, I believe yoga should be a celebration of what our bodies can do and am passionate about supporting women to connect with their bodies.
The Vibe
This evening is the last class of 2022 and also marks the the Winter Solstice is a time for re-awakening the planet and returning to light. Let's celebrate with a ritual, connection and movement. According to its Latin roots, the word Solstice means “sun standing still,” the Winter Solstice has been celebrated around the world – acknowledging the shortest day of the year. The Solar New Year marks the end of a cycle as the Earth begins her return to innocence – the rebirth that is Spring. To mark this special day in our calendar we’ll be gathering for a special candlelit yoga and festive treats!

The Jist
This class is set to be the ultimate wind down for our nervous system, to ease ourselves into this festive period. We'll begin with some breath-work including pranayama techniques to open our awareness, then settling into a series of yin postures to gentle open the body and bring spaciousness into the joints. Following by a guided Yoga Nidra meditation and soothing Sound Bath; we'll finish with a warm cuppa Chai and Mince Pies.
