YANG ☯️
This class will start with sun salutations and flow movements focsuing on the lower back and hips, moving from one posture to another. This part of the practice will allow the body to feel energised and strengthened.
YIN ☯️
The second part of the class we will focusing on yin poses, whereby each pose is held for between 2-4 mins using props (pillows). Using props and holding the poses for a longer time will allow the connective tissues around the muscles, tendons and ligaments to slowly release. This part of the practice will allow the body to feel relaxed.
Please have two pillows ready.

Inspired by my background in Ashtanga and Pilates, Mula and Uddiyana Bandhas are incorporated to build deep core strength and stability. Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength.

Expect balanced strength and flexibility focused classes with strength focused variations particularly for those often weaker, neglected muscles, alongside yoga philosophy and mindfulness thoughts and readings. Each class starts with some grounding breath focus and builds through progressive sequencing to a peak pose, before winding down and finishing with relaxation in savasana.
All are welcome- variations are offered to suit all starting points and bodies. Reminders are given to be kind to yourself and listen to your body to move in a way that best serves you, whilst also encouraging safe challenge of your edges!

A strong core also helps reduces back pain.
When the body is heated, more blood vessels dilate, which promotes blood flow. Increased blood flow can aid in pain relief. Toxins can be flushed out of injured areas of the body allowing for better range of movement. It’s especially beneficial for lower back pain, muscle aches and pains.
