DESCRIPTION: GUIDED RELAXATION & DEEP REST
From the comfort of your own space, join me for a magical evening of deep guided relaxation as we integrate the energy of the full moon of March. A full moon is known as a 'clearing or pruning' moon. So just as we do in nature, pruning back the old to encourage energy to move back into the roots to grow and flourish! So the energy of the full moon invites us to surrender and let go or 'prune' away what no longer serves us, forgive and open our hearts to ourselves; to clear and make space for our new seeds of intention to be set in the fertile soil of our heart.

March’s full Moon goes by the name Worm Moon, which was originally thought to refer to the earthworms that appear as the soil warms in spring. This invites robins and other birds to feed—a true sign of spring!

Yoga Nidra is a practice that is usually practiced at the end of a Hatha yoga class and can vary from 10 - 20 mins.

I invite you to your inner space to drop deeper into this extremely healing practice as a practice itself. Yoga Nidra which means "Yoga sleep" that guides us through the body and helps to sense, notice and surrender to what is. Yoga Nidra is very deep form of relaxation and it's a practice that is cultivated and the more that it is practised, the more the body begins to respond and moves into a state of deep rest and relaxation more easily over time. This in time can integrate into how we meet our challenges in daily life.

While the practitioner rests comfortably in savasana (corpse pose), this systematic meditation takes you through the pancha maya kosha (five layers of self), leaving us with a sense of wholeness. As we are weaved in the energy of the full moon, we invite a nourishing intention known as a San Kalpa at the beginning of the practice as this helps to clear what no longer serves us anymore ad make way for new fresh beginnings!
Yoga Nidra is a powerful yet very gentle meditative practice. The stages of body awareness and breath awareness alone can be practiced to calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health.

There is no wrong way to practice Yoga Nidra. Just show up on your mat and let the practice do what is needed! This is a an experience of "BEing" as there is no "DOing".

Yoga Nidra is suitable for everyone and it is always the favourite part of every class for many students! It's a beautiful practice to get to know yourself innately.
