With 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝘆

𝗦𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗮 draws from a unique and traditional system of yoga. With emphasis on a well-rounded, multi-faceted practice, each class follows a fixed, 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 paired with 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 and periods of 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Expect a structured practice with 𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘀 (poses) that target different areas of the body. These asanas are carefully sequenced and performed in a slow, meditative manner, allowing you to cultivate awareness of your physical and mental state in the midst of motion and exertion.

Meanwhile, the emphasis on deep, purposeful breathing helps to synchronize the breath with each movement, promoting relaxation, focus, and vitality. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺𝗮, or breath control exercises, further enhance this connection and help to balance the flow of energy throughout the body.

In addition to asana practice, Sivananda Yoga incorporates 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 to cultivate calmness, focus, and presence of mind. The class typically ends with 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, allowing the body and mind to fully integrate the benefits of the practice.
