Prenatal Yoga is a beautiful way to strengthen the body, mind, and spirit in preparation for birth and beyond. Each practice is intelligently designed to stretch & strengthen the body with specific considerations to how the body is changing during this sacred time. Your practice will include not only physical movements, but breath work and meditation all of which adapted to each phase of pregnancy. Expect to feel nourished and to come away with new knowledge that can help inform your pregnancy, birth and Motherhood.

My mission is to prepare pregnant people to birth in awareness and have an embodied experience of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I'm not interested in how you give birth, where it takes place, or who your care provider is. I am interested in whether you feel prepared to make the decisions that align fully with your heart & soul. I want you to travel through pregnancy and into birth and postpartum with a 'I got this mentality!" and when something new or unexpected happens that you have the awareness to stay centred and feel in control of how things will proceed in the future.

**If you give birth and have not completed using your classes, we will honour them for classes when you are ready to return.

Join Ponnie, Kangatraining Country Leader and Certified Babywearing Educator for a fun hour workout.
Kangatraining is a complete workout during which both cardiovascular endurance/flexibility and muscular capacity/strength are enhanced. Unlike traditional exercise classes, new mums need not worry about finding a babysitter or minding an unsettled baby during class because the babies are worn on them and get to be part of the action! As well as the physical benefits, the opportunity to meet other local mums in a fun, relaxed environment boosts their emotional wellbeing.

The pelvic floor and abdominal muscles as well as correct posture are given special attention. Kangatrainers are also trained in babywearing best practices and can help mums ensure the safest and most comfortable carrying positions for their babies.

As a mom of a toddler herself, Ponnie understands that embarking on a post-baby fitness program can be daunting. All Kanga instructors are fully certified, having completed a training course in Vienna, first aid certifications, and exams in anatomy, postnatal health, and babywearing safety.

Without a doubt, safety is the number one consideration when using a baby carrier during exercise. Many popular carriers, although not posing an immediate threat, are not optimally designed to support the natural development of baby’s hips and spine while mom is exercising.
Please bring your carrier and our trainers will assess its suitability for the class. We will also assist you in getting the best fit and comfort for you and your baby. There will be demo carriers available at each class to try out or hire on an ongoing basis.

So come along and give it a go, you and your baby will love it!
