Description
Suitable for beginners and well-versed practitioners alike, all you need for this class is curiosity. Pranayama is the yogic practice that focuses on breath awareness and intention; prana is the universal life force that energizes all things, and yama is control. When prana is imbalanced it can manifest as fatigue, lack of direction and desire, or hyperactivity, anxiety, and nervousness. Through this system of breathing techniques, it is believed that practitioners can access higher levels of vitality and wellbeing, boosting clarity and zest while remaining grounded and at ease. This workshop will explore various pranayama techniques a la carte and paired with active movements, chants, and embodied relaxation. Expect to leave refreshed and replenished, with tools to continue the practice at home.
