Description
Join us for a 90 minute workshop breaking down VINYASA.

Vinyasa Flow is a style of asana that we offer almost every day- it's our most popular style and y'all tend to love it! However, it is also one of the styles where we see the most occurrence of repetitive injury. In an effort to avoid these injuries, we are taking the opportunity to dive into alignment, explore functionality, and play with modifications on these common shapes. In this workshop we will focus on the core components, modifications, and functional tips for:
- Chaturanga / Low push-up position
- Urdhva Mukha Svanasana / Upward Facing Dog
- Bhujangasana / Cobra Position
- Adho Mukha Svanasana / Downward Facing Dog
as well as other great vinyasa sequences and how to apply them to any of our Flow-based classes! This is a great opportunity to sharpen your understanding of each position, the function of the sequence, and the breath that goes with it. You'll also receive personalized feedback and ample time for questions, comments, and discussion. We hope to provide you with the information you need to create and maintain a sustainable practice, avoid shoulder and/or back injuries and irritations, and understand our Flow/Vinyasa classes with deeper context.

This workshop is great for most levels, especially anyone interested in growing more comfortable/confident with vinyasa yoga asana! Props and chairs are available, please wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat if you have one! Contact us at hello@yogapeopleoneonta.com or 607-437-2359 with any questions or concerns!
