General terms of Oneonta Yoga LLC

I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress reduction and relief of muscular tension. Participation in yoga class includes, but is not limited to, participation in meditation, yogic breathing, and performing various yoga postures in a heated (80-105°F) and non-heated (70-75°F) room. Yoga poses (asanas) are designed to work every part of the body; stretching, strengthening and toning the muscles, joints, spine and the entire skeletal system. They also work on the internal organs, glands and nerves. Yoga is an individual experience.
As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. I will progress in class at my own pace. If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, adjust the posture and ask for support from the teacher. I will continue to breathe smoothly. If at any point I feel overexertion or fatigue, I will respect my body’s limitations and I will rest before continuing the yoga practice. If I have a medical condition I agree to notify my physician to ensure yoga is safe and right for me to practice. I will notify the yoga teacher of my condition so s/he will help me modify, or find other poses, that will help me move through my practice.

I acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken during any given class for marketing and advertising purposes. I understand that these images or videos will not be sold to third parties, but used specifically for the advertisement of Oneonta Yoga LLC classes and events. If I am uncomfortable with being photographed or videoed, I agree to alert the teacher prior to the start of class and ask for a way to honor my comfort level.

This waiver shall apply to any and all yoga classes, events and workshops held at the Oneonta Yoga LLC studio or any other facility and venue, sponsored by Oneonta Yoga LLC and their teachers, guest teachers, industry professionals and other sponsors.

Yoga is a personal and meditative practice. To maintain this peaceful environment, we ask all students to arrive 10-15 minutes early to give ample time to settle in.

DOORS WILL BE LOCKED at the start of class time out of respect of the students and the teacher and to not disturb the meditative practice.

Payment for your session is requested prior to the start of class. Classes are nontransferable.

Our efforts at Oneonta Yoga LLC is to make this practice accessible to as many people as possible. We require a 6 hour cancellation notice on weekdays, and 24 hours on weekends, so we may offer your spot to a student on our wait list. Cancellations less than an hour before class, and no shows, will result in a charge for the class. Thanks for your understanding and continued support!
