Yoga Therapy is not in itself a yoga lineage, rather - it is a way of engaging with the yoga practice holistically, so you can bring your system back to balance and maintain that balance in the long run. It usually focuses on enhancing your wellbeing as a whole, rather than treating a single ailment or body quirk.

The tools of Yoga Therapy include but are not limited to: postures, flow, breath awareness and techniques, relaxation, meditation, dietary advice.

Our specific class at YogaRuka will help assist with and reduce the symptoms of chronic pain, fatigue, systemic muscular tightness and/or weakness, and its regular practice, in time, will bring you a different body awareness, and more space inside for the breath. You’ll pay more attention to how you are moving, sitting, standing - and you’ll find it easier to change habits that no longer serve you toward a better relationship with your own body-mind.

This class is open to all levels. Different options will always be given to challenge the more advanced students while befitting the beginners.
