Sinds 1999 leid ik Yogaschool Amsterdam en ben ik als Senior (Level 3 gecertificeerd Iyengar yoga-) leraar bevoegd om therapeutische yogalessen te geven, mensen op te leiden tot Iyengar yogaleraar en te examineren.
Ik begon in 1990 met Iyengar yogales volgen bij Charles Hond. Iyengar yoga boeit me enorm en dat wil ik graag delen. Ik ben vooral geïnteresseerd in yoga die tot het hart spreekt, die helder is en uitdaagt. Yoga leert ons veel over de natuur waar we deel van zijn en ook van de onveranderlijke ziel waar uiterlijk, geslacht, status, leeftijd, kleur, afkomst niet telt. Als je yoga oefent krijg je soms een hint, een helder moment waardoor de dingen die eerst warrig waren, of vaag, op hun plaats vallen, zodat je stevig in de wereld kunt staan maar niet steeds meegesleept wordt door de waan van de dag.
I have been leading Yogaschool Amsterdam since 1999 and as a Senior (Level 3 certified Iyengar yoga-) teacher I'm authorized to conduct therapeutic yoga classes, train people to become Iyengar yoga teachers and to assess candidate teachers in the context of our Dutch association.
I started taking Iyengar yoga classes with Charles Hond in 1990. Iyengar yoga fascinates me enormously and I would like to share that. I am particularly interested in yoga that speaks to the heart, is clear and challenging. Yoga teaches us a lot about the nature of which we are a part and also about the unchanging soul where appearance, gender, status, age, color, origin do not count. When you practice yoga, you sometimes get a hint, a clear moment that makes the things that were confused, or vague, fall into place so that you can stand firm in the world but not get carried away by the delusions of the day.

Sinds 1999 leid ik Yogaschool Amsterdam en ben ik als Senior (Level 3 gecertificeerd Iyengar yoga-) leraar bevoegd om therapeutische yogalessen te geven, mensen op te leiden tot Iyengar yogaleraar en te examineren.
Ik begon in 1990 met Iyengar yogales volgen bij Charles Hond. Iyengar yoga boeit me enorm en dat wil ik graag delen. Ik ben vooral geïnteresseerd in yoga die tot het hart spreekt, die helder is en uitdaagt. Yoga leert ons veel over de natuur waar we deel van zijn en ook van de onveranderlijke ziel waar uiterlijk, geslacht, status, leeftijd, kleur, afkomst niet telt. Als je yoga oefent krijg je soms een hint, een helder moment waardoor de dingen die eerst warrig waren, of vaag, op hun plaats vallen, zodat je stevig in de wereld kunt staan maar niet steeds meegesleept wordt door de waan van de dag.

Sinds 1999 leid ik Yogaschool Amsterdam en ben ik als Senior (Level 3 gecertificeerd Iyengar yoga-) leraar bevoegd om therapeutische yogalessen te geven, mensen op te leiden tot Iyengar yogaleraar en te examineren.
Ik begon in 1990 met Iyengar yogales volgen bij Charles Hond. Iyengar yoga boeit me enorm en dat wil ik graag delen. Ik ben vooral geïnteresseerd in yoga die tot het hart spreekt, die helder is en uitdaagt. Yoga leert ons veel over de natuur waar we deel van zijn en ook van de onveranderlijke ziel waar uiterlijk, geslacht, status, leeftijd, kleur, afkomst niet telt. Als je yoga oefent krijg je soms een hint, een helder moment waardoor de dingen die eerst warrig waren, of vaag, op hun plaats vallen, zodat je stevig in de wereld kunt staan maar niet steeds meegesleept wordt door de waan van de dag.
I have been leading Yogaschool Amsterdam since 1999 and as a Senior (Level 3 certified Iyengar yoga-) teacher I'm authorized to conduct therapeutic yoga classes, train people to become Iyengar yoga teachers and to assess candidate teachers in the context of our Dutch association.
I started taking Iyengar yoga classes with Charles Hond in 1990. Iyengar yoga fascinates me enormously and I would like to share that. I am particularly interested in yoga that speaks to the heart, is clear and challenging. Yoga teaches us a lot about the nature of which we are a part and also about the unchanging soul where appearance, gender, status, age, color, origin do not count. When you practice yoga, you sometimes get a hint, a clear moment that makes the things that were confused, or vague, fall into place so that you can stand firm in the world but not get carried away by the delusions of the day.

If you have registered for a lesson 35 minutes in advance, you will receive an email with the link to the zoom meeting. Click on the link and it will be self-explanatory. You can also select and book the desired lesson in our Momoyoga app or website from 30 minutes before the lesson starts. There you will also find the automatic link to the online lesson.

In verband met de maatregelen om het verspreiden van het virus in te dammen verzoeken we je niet te komen als je ziekteverschijnselen hebt of koorts. We vragen je in de school aan de anderhalve meter afstand regel te houden en de hygiëne in acht te nemen. Bereid je voor op je les en kom ajb op tijd.
Meenemen checklist:
. 1 Yogamat (we hebben genoeg matten in de school)
. 1 Grote handdoek of kussensloop om op de props te leggen (leg steeds dezelfde kant boven)
. 1 Gastendoekje om je voeten af te drogen. We geven de onze weg zolang de voorraad strekt. Je krijgt er alleen een als je heilig belooft het steeds naar de school mee te nemen
. Warme of koude drank voor na de les!
. Yogakleding aantrekken onder je gewone kleding als enigszins mogelijk.

What to bring, checklist:
. 1 Yoga mat (we do have enough mats available in the school)
. 1 Large towel or pillowcase to put on the props (always put the same side up)
. 1 Guest towel to dry your feet. We'll offer ours while supplies last. You only get one if you make a holy promise to always take it to the school
. Hot or cold drink for after class!
. Put on yoga clothes under your regular clothes if possible
