Deze keer richten we op voet/knie/heup. Volg alle vijf lessen! Lessen inhalen is helaas niet mogelijk.
Kom naar de "speciale behoeften" lessen wanneer je in de gewone les tegen pijn, ziekte of blessure aanloopt. De les is in groep met aangepaste asana's speciaal voor de voeten, knieën en heupen. Zo krijg je begrip wat voor je werkt en wat juist niet. Daarnaast krijg je individueel advies over hoe om te gaan met je pijn, en een oefenreeks om thuis dagelijks te doen en naar verbetering toe te gaan.

Je leert met zacht werken in diverse asana’s hoe je een brug slaat tussen fysieke oefening en mentale verstilling. In deze verdiepende yogalessen maak je een stap van herstellende asana’s naar Pranayama, de weg van de levensenergie. Waar Asana het lichaam in lijn brengt (alignment) kan onze ademhaling (observeren-cultiveren) onze energie in goede banen leiden. Je kunt meedoen als je gedurende één jaar regelmatig Iyengar yoga lessen hebt gevolgd. Vraag je leraar advies over deze les als je twijfelt.
We verzoeken je niet te komen als je ziekteverschijnselen hebt of koorts. We vragen je bij aankomst de QR code te laten zien. In de school graag de anderhalve meter afstand regel en de hygiëne in acht te nemen. Kom ajb op tijd en als mogelijk met je yogakleding aan.

You learn how to work more soft and subtle in different asana’s and you'll build a bridge between the physical and silencing the mind. In these deepening classes you make the step from restorative asana's to Pranayama, the path of the life energy. Where the practice of Asana aligns the body, our breath (observing and cultivating it) can lead our energy towards a good direction.
You can join if you have at least one year of regular Iyengar yoga experience.
Do ask your teacher when you hesitate this class is suitable for you.
We ask you not to come if you have symptoms of disease or a fever. Please arrive on time and if possible with your yoga clothes on.

De basis houdingen worden aangeleerd en herhaald. Niet saai want ze worden telkens vanuit een andere invalshoek belicht. Het gebruik van props maakt het oefenen licht of juist enorm intens.Of je nu jong of ouder bent, lenig of stram, fit of niet en mèt of zonder yoga-ervaring, iedereen kan meedoen. Heb je nog nooit eerder yogales gevolgd? Dan is deze les perfect! Online les is NIET geschikt als je wil kennismaken met Iyengar yoga in deze school.

Sinds 1999 leid ik Yogaschool Amsterdam en ben ik als Senior (Level 3 gecertificeerd Iyengar yoga-) leraar bevoegd om therapeutische yogalessen te geven, mensen op te leiden tot Iyengar yogaleraar en te examineren.
Ik begon in 1990 met Iyengar yogales volgen bij Charles Hond. Iyengar yoga boeit me enorm en dat wil ik graag delen. Ik ben vooral geïnteresseerd in yoga die tot het hart spreekt, die helder is en uitdaagt. Yoga leert ons veel over de natuur waar we deel van zijn en ook van de onveranderlijke ziel waar uiterlijk, geslacht, status, leeftijd, kleur, afkomst niet telt. Als je yoga oefent krijg je soms een hint, een helder moment waardoor de dingen die eerst warrig waren, of vaag, op hun plaats vallen, zodat je stevig in de wereld kunt staan maar niet steeds meegesleept wordt door de waan van de dag.
I have been leading Yogaschool Amsterdam since 1999 and as a Senior (Level 3 certified Iyengar yoga-) teacher I'm authorized to conduct therapeutic yoga classes, train people to become Iyengar yoga teachers and to assess candidate teachers in the context of our Dutch association.
I started taking Iyengar yoga classes with Charles Hond in 1990. Iyengar yoga fascinates me enormously and I would like to share that. I am particularly interested in yoga that speaks to the heart, is clear and challenging. Yoga teaches us a lot about the nature of which we are a part and also about the unchanging soul where appearance, gender, status, age, color, origin do not count. When you practice yoga, you sometimes get a hint, a clear moment that makes the things that were confused, or vague, fall into place so that you can stand firm in the world but not get carried away by the delusions of the day.

Let's start a tradition of a Pentecost workshop with Kristien: a 2 days workshop at the end of the mentoring program, and maybe a teaser for those who want to begin training to become a teacher with Kristien.
