Vinyasa, like all yoga styles, originated from Hatha yoga. The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses for example. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next.
Teachers lead classes that flow from one pose to the next without stopping to talk about the finer points of each pose. That way, students come away with a good workout as well as a yoga experience. Ashtanga, Baptiste Yoga, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Prana Flow could all be considered vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a vinyasa class.

This is class is not a beginners class. To prevent any injuries please try a Hatha class first before you start with Vinyasa!

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia. This practice is designed to help you sit longer, and more comfortably, in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine). It is a more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a interconnecting. A passive practice, that gives you the tools to slowly open up and get ready to explore the underlying depths of your physical, mental and emotional being.

Mommy and baby yoga is meant for mom and baby together. It is a combination of yoga and massage for baby and postnatal yoga for mommy. The lesson is aimed at giving the body attention and strengthening. We do this by activating the abdomen, back and pelvic floor muscles in a safe and gentle way. And all this while your baby is close to you. Throughout the practice you have the option to involve your baby in the movements with you. This way you can strengthen the bond with your baby in a playful way. And sometimes baby’s just sleep all class. That’s fine as well. The baby’s are welcome just as they are. Our classes are very casual, there is always time to feed or even change diapers.

Mamas without a baby can also participate the class.

Previous yoga experience is not necessary to fully benefit from the classes, and women who have practiced yoga before will find these classes are a great way to transition back to their pre-pregnancy practice.

The lessons are from 6 weeks after the delivery. Always check with your doctor first if the appropriate time is for you to start “exercise” again.

Babies are welcome until they start crawling.

Yoga nidra , or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. While the practitioner rests comfortably in savasana, this systematic meditation takes you through a deep relaxation , floating between the sleeping state and the awake state, leaving you with a sense of wholeness.

This results in a great practice to let go of stress and anxiety.

Since you will be laying down for most of the class please make sure to dress warm. To get extra comfi we suggest to wear a warm sweater, sweatpants and socks.

Held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. Most restorative practices are based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar.
In the class lots of props like blocks, bolsters, blankets etc are used as extra support along with a gentle flow to activate the body as we move into the supported poses.
Combining the use of essential oils and aroma therapy lamps creating full body relaxation, deepening your experience of postures and breathing with many healing benefits for your body and mind. Gentle head massage at the end of class will let you completely switch off and surrender.

It is very suitable for anyone with stress, chronic pains, and injuries. This is a all level class.

If you're new to yoga, it is a good idea to take a few classes in a slower style of yoga first. Like Hatha yoga to get a feel for the poses.

Most forms of yoga in the West can be classified as Hatha Yoga. Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures, meaning your Ashtanga, vinyasa, Iyengar and Power Yoga classes are all Hatha Yoga. The yoga of balance.

It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body. When a class is marketed as Hatha, it generally means that you will get a gentle introduction to the most basic yoga postures. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation

During this traditional Hatha class you can expect a little extra care. We include essential oils and aroma touch to get you in a even deeper relaxation after a good strong class.

This style of yoga is where practitioners move gracefully from one pose to the next, in flowing and dynamic sequences.
Each movement is made on a inhalation and or exhaltion to unite the breath and the movement. The movements may be combined with some longer holds on certain postures.
Flow (based from Dru yoga/Thai Chi) classes usually begins with gentle movements to warm the body, then into a more progressively more challenging poses. This is not your average Vinyasa flow. It always ends with calmer, deeper stretches and floor based poses. Flow yoga empowers visualisation, positive affirmations and with its foundations set in acient yogic traditions, Flow yoga can help increase energy levels, ease back pain and wash away stress
