In 2023, I initiated my yoga journey at Black Swan Yoga, subsequent to a spinal injury incurred in an accident, which led me to discover asana practice. Following my teacher's recommendation, I pursued and successfully completed a 200hr yoga teacher certification through a scholarship program. Within a year, I accumulated over 300 hours of studio practice and completed my teacher training, supplemented by a 300hr yoga therapeutics course. I was awarded a scholarship by the Trini Foundation to study Ashtanga yoga. Currently, I instruct yoga for pain management at a local boxing gym, integrating my two years of group fitness expertise. Outside of yoga, I enjoy street photography in downtown SA.

Description

This isn’t your fast-flow scroll-and-go yoga. Stillness & Strength is a deliberate, full-body Hatha practice that blends breathwork, meditation, and held poses to build awareness, alignment, and real internal power. Think less hustle, more presence. Less “perfect pose,” more conscious connection.

We’ll move slowly but deeply—working through accessible postures with time to adjust, breathe, and feel. Newer yogis are welcome (modifications are always offered), and more experienced practitioners will find plenty of space to push further.

Quiet doesn’t mean easy and still doesn’t mean soft.

Open to all skill levels.
