Description
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Self Practice is a self paced classed. A teacher is always present in class and students proceed through the sequence at their own pace. This is a traditional approach to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as it promotes focus while moving in a meditative way.
The benefits to a Self Practice Class:
1. Move at your own speed
2. If you present with injuries poses are easily tailored to suit you without it disrupting the rest of the class.
3. This style of class is fairly quiet therefore inducing a mediative approach and students often feel very relaxed by the end of class.
4. If you are feeling very strong you may be offered more poses to practice at the time.
5. If you are feeling tied going slow and restorative may work best.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a set series of postures woven together with breath awareness using flowing movements to create one sequence.
Each connecting move is synchronised with the breathing technique known as Ujjayi Pranayama.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a beautiful practice that can be approached gently or dynamically depending on moon cycle and student needs.
Sharpen your senses and work with internal energy centres to lighten both the body and mind. We top and tail the class with chanting and inspirational yogic insights. Be seen, not for what you wear, but for who you are. We make every breath counts.
Benefits: increase strength, flexibility, endurance, co-ordination, improve health, stamina, meditative and increased clarity of mind.
All poses can be modified to work with individual needs.
Please bring a towel and bottle of water to each session.
